Welcome to Lakeland Junior Bassmasters

The purpose of our Junior BASS Club is to promote and encourage youth fishing through education of fishing ethics, sportsmanship, fishing techniques, and conservation of our natural resources. Membership is open to anyone between 11 and 18 years old. And if your parent has a boat, donating it’s use or being a boat captain on a monthly basis is greatly appreciated.

Cooper and Bozeman lead the Angler of the year race!

Chris Cooper pulls ahead of Gorman for the Angler of the year race in the 11-14 Age Division. Not by much but enough to keep Gorman on his toes. This race is still anyones to win as we approach the half way point in our season. Bozeman extends his lead over Ferguson in the 15-18 age group which is a much needed buffer with this group says Bozeman. Bozeman say anyone can come out of anywhere at any time. Ferguson, Linsinbigler, Boswell and Malys are not to be taken lightly even with a 20 pound lead. The pressure is always on in both age divisions and the race is just that, a race all year to see who can perform month after month for the title of Angler of the Year 2012!!!

Lakeland Junior Bassmasters join the Elites on the Big O

Members of Lakeland Junior Bassmasters are getting into the boat this week with the Bassmaster Elite for Event #2 on the Bassmaster Elite Tournament Trail. On day 2, Luke Ferguson is partnered with tournament leader, Ish Monroe. With an almost 10 pound lead after day 1, Ish and Luke will be the boat to catch on Friday.
