Another tough day on Lake Parker

FunBikeBashLakeParker2015_349_352x360.jpgThe Lakeland Junior Bassmasters did not have the explosive sendoff of last year but got off to a good start, just the same, for 2015. Lake Parker does not seem to give up her fish easy and this year was no exception.  There was but one limit and a lot of empty bags. In the younger group, newcomer Tristen Raulerson took first and big bass with a winning catch of 3.15 lbs followed by fellow newcomer Kaleb Mesmer with 2.88 lbs. The older FunBikeBashLakeParker2015_323_248x360.jpggroup seemed to be able to find a few more bass. Kyle Sheffield came in with a winning total of 10.58 lbs of Bass. Second was Shane Schmucker (with the only limit of the day) 9.64lbs. Jonathan North got big bass for older 5.85lbs of largemouth. In spite of the fishing difficulties, the weighin was a great event particularly with Bobby Lane and his daughers helping in the festivities

Sept.132014_283_253x360.jpgSept.132014_304_251x360_174x250.jpgAcree claims his first Jr. Bassmaster win in the younger age division bringing in a 3 fish limit of 9.4 pounds. Acree being relatively new to the Jr. Bassmasters came to the weigh in stage with a big smile on his face knowing his bag might just do it. Not sure who was more happy, Acree or the crowd of supporters he had in the audience. Great job by all. Cooper in the older age division does it yet again bringing in 10.2 pounds to clinch his 5th Jr. Bassmaster win this year. The boy is on fire and don't know if that fire can be put out. Cooper has a 16 pound plus commanding lead for Angler of the year with only one tournament left in the regular season. The Winter Haven Chain October 4th will decide it all. Who will be crowned Angler of the Year, Co- Angler of the year, Rookie of the year and most of all who will finish out the top five and be going to the 2015 Bassmasters Classic courtesy of Van Soles. Dont miss out on the action, and never give up. See everyone Oct 4th, Lake shipp to bring this regular season to its end on the Winter Haven Chain. Then don't forget the two day Jr, Bassmasters Classic on the Kissimme Chain Nov. 1st and 2nd going out of Camp Mac. Get your rooms now and get ready for the biggest event of the year! Good Luck to all!
