Ferguson Gets It Done At The College Level

Posted by director on January 5, 2014

Regionals.jpgLuke Ferguson, 2013 Angler of the Year, graduate, and well-respected angler of the Lakeland Junior Bassmaster's, takes care of business on Lake Okeechobee.  Ferguson, and his partner Wise, brought a 2 day total weight to the scales of 33.1 pounds of bass to take 4th place in the 2014 Carhartt College Southern B.A.S.S. Regionals. This event was on Lake Okechobee, and the field was enormous with 130 teams from all over the southeast competing. This event was a qualifier for the B.A.S.S. College National Championship, which Ferguson and Wise will be competing in this summer representing Polk State College. WOW, this is awesome, one of our own getting things done. I couldn't be more proud and excited for Ferguson, a well-deserving angler. What an example for all you young Jr. Bassmasters. This is why we have the Jr. Bassmasters program and I get so excited about the sport. Luke, thanks for all you have done, and young anglers, pay close attention as I am sure we haven't heard the last of Luke Ferguson!
